Prathishta Kumbhabhisheka Lakshmi Venkataramana Swamy, Kunimakki

On 6th February 2012,  Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed the Kumbhabhisheka of Lakshmi Venkataramana Swamy, Kunimakki.

Administrator & CEO of the Peetham, Sri V R Gowrishankar speaking on the occasion said that the Peetham had resolved to renovate temples in the Sringeri Taluk during the Silver Jubilee year  (1999)of the Sannyasa Sweekara of the Jagadguru and has renovated hundreds of temples since then.

The Jagadguru in His Anugraha Bhashanam said that if a village has to prosper and its residents be happy and contented, it is essential to nurture the temples in it. If one does not respect the sanctity of the Lord’s presence in a village temple, it does not augur well for the village.  Do not everyone go to the temple to rest one’s burdens and difficulties at the Lotus Feet of the Lord? Hence it is essential to be devoted and visit temples regularly. The Jagadguru commended the efforts of the residents and blessed the gathering.
